I am a third grade teacher in a public school. This school is located in a lower socio-economic area in New York and most of the parents of these children are immigrants. A lot of the parents do not even know how to speak English. Most of these children come to school eager to learn every day because their parents have instilled in them the importance of receiving a free education. Many of their parents are uneducated and have never had the opportunity to go to school or were only fortunate enough to go for a little while. So these parents take school seriously and want their children to succeed and do well.

About my class
