The mat will be where the students will have instruction and work hands on with manipulatives. The students will be more comfortable sitting on the carpet and as a result they will be less distracted. It will also help them stand up less and disrupt the classroom. By giving to the project, my students will have the opportunity to work on developing their ability on fine and gross motor skills. Kindergarteners like to sit on the floor and interact more with their environment. The instruction will be given in the classroom.
