We will use the Storyworks magazine in small groups and whole group lessons. Students will read and have group discussions on current events. Storyworks will help them find details allowing them to apply it to other subjects, such as science and social studies. Donations to our project will allow my students to be able to read current events and improve the reading comprehension levels of all students in my class. The digital copies of Storyworks will make the same great magazine available to students who have chosen to go all virtual this school year. They too can participate with group discussions during our google classroom meets and have the great stories to read, explore, and enjoy to become a life long reader. My students will feel more confident in their reading abilities and become more aware of current events.
