Flexible seating helps students feel comfortable and at home while at school. It increases their interaction and motivation while decreasing behavior issues. Students are able to take charge of their learning environment and pick a seat that is right for them. Currently, I have large tables and a high counter. When I added stools to the counter and gave students the option to sit there, I noticed a big difference in work ethic and motivation. I want to see those amazing differences in all of my students and offer flexible seating options to everyone. Motivation, engagement, and comfort will all increase if my students are given a choice of where they would like to work. Help give my students the opportunity to have a choice in their learning and work in a setting that best fits them.
