The use of visual materials is very vital when teaching students with autism. Most of my students' attention span is very short and with the help of an iPad, I can have my students use different applications in the iPad that can improve their skills on areas ranging from social and language skills, math, and science. One example of an iPad app is Otsimo. This app includes a variety of educational games, social stories, early writing activities, and many more. This is just one example of an app that can be downloaded on the iPad that can help my students learn. With the abundance of educational apps in the Apple AppStore, I'm sure that there would always be an app best suited for the needs of every individual student I have and will have in the future.
