We hope to encourage to be comfortable during read aloud, lessons, workstations, and guided reading activities as they sit on a carpet close to the teacher and we can encourage participation and turn-and-talk sessions. The smaller carpet would be incorporated into the center of read-to-self or read-to-someone, where they have somewhere comfortable to read as they practice becoming a stronger reader. We want a classroom library. We also hope to have a classroom library where kids will have books accessible to there fingertips to be able to experience books through hands on experience to become stronger readers as we work in stations like read-to-self, read-to-someone, and guided reading small groups. The Library cart and book bins will help keep our classroom library be better organized and structured as we move around in our learning community. Students will also be able to checkout books for their independent and instructive reading levels to keep in there book bags and the cart will help encourage students' to find their books more easily.
