My students and I will be participating in a book study throughout the rest of the semester. We will be reading Between the World and Me by Ta-Nehisi Coates. I work with special education students, so having a physical text to read is very important to help fulfill their needs. While reading, my students will be asked to journal their experiences and connections with the text. As a motivator and present for doing so well thus far in the term, the students will receive an assortment of their favorite snacks. This text will allow my students to connect with greater world concepts and express themselves in new and unique ways. My students are constantly exceeding my expectations and I cannot wait to see what they will accomplish with this text!
