In these unprecedented times, our school is continuing to try to level the playing field between our face-to-face and virtual learners. By providing math manipulatives to all of our students, regardless of where they are learning from, we are providing every student with the opportunity to build math understanding using models through the use of manipulatives. Fraction bars are used by students in second through fifth grades to build an understanding of units that are less than one whole. These manipulatives are required for students to determine equality among fractions and compare the values of various fractions. AngLegs are used by second through fifth grade students while studying Geometry. Student can construct different types of shapes and angles while building a concrete understanding of geometrical concepts.
