My middle school has a little over 300 students from 6th to 8th grade in a high poverty community. I am lucky because I see most students for 50 minutes a day for all of their 3 years at the middle school. Due to funding constraints, the PE department is lacking technology in our program. When I need to teach a new game or skill that needs a visual aid, we have to take 10-15 minutes to go to a classroom with a computer and projector to look up the information. My main focus in PE is to keep the kids moving, I just hate giving up that time.
