My school is located in a rural area. While my students work hard to be kind and empathetic, they don't understand what life is like outside of their rural bubble. By learning about those who have different experiences than they do, my students will be on their way to becoming global citizens ready to fight for what's right. I want a variety of books with diverse characters to help my students gain perspective of the world outside of their farmland homes. Because of adjustments made for COVID, my students don't have access to the school library. All students should find a book that helps them love to read and right now my classroom library just doesn't have enough for them to succeed.

About my class
