Our third-grade team is comprised of 4 third grade teachers and 105 amazing third graders have created a wishlist of materials to diversify the opportunities available to u during virtual learning. Why limit ourselves to just a computer screen when we could bring hands-on materials to the homes of our kiddos too? With this project, we hope to participate in a grade-wide novel study of Jerry's Spinelli's book, Third Grade Angels. Our goal is to deliver this novel by the end of the month in care packages to each of our 105 students in addition to materials such as notebooks, cards and dice for math games, and reading strategies cards. By expanding the access our students have at home we have the ability to recreate an in-person school format for our kiddos at home! The sense of familiarity of holding a paperback book rather than reading off of a Chromebook can not be recreated, which is why we need your help to make this project a reality! Our kiddos and our team are forever grateful for your support in adding books to their at-home libraries!
