The materials that I am providing my students will provide a safe, clean learning environment as they are exercising on their yoga mats. This will be instructed in a socially distanced manner to keep students safe. Yoga is used as a tool to develop their gross motor skills, spatial relations with others and following directions. When it's time for yoga, students are excited, their faces light up and they are eager to get started. As students are returning to school, I am unable to provide mats for those at this time. Yoga is an outlet that enables my students to remain on task, stay focused and release unwanted energy while helping them in their social emotional space. I would like to use the snacks as a reward and water keeps my learners hydrated throughout the school day.
