Makerspaces teach students to think creatively. Explore new ideas in a safe space. Because of the nature of the makerspace environment, students can feel more comfortable asking questions they may not have asked in the classroom. This exposes them to new ideas and ways to think. With the Lego Makerspace my students will be able to create, design and collaborate on ideas in a way that is engaging for them. The teacher previously had a similar Makerspace and I would like to provide something equal or even better for the students to use.
