My students are currently in mixed classes that include virtual and in-person learners. As a result, students are interacting predominately in Zoom and through online platforms that require verbal and written communication. The school district has worked tirelessly to provide devices for students to work on, but many students lack the assistive technology to interact with their peers in a manner that does not distract others. It is my desire to provide headphones to every student that walks through my class, knowing that they have the needed equipment to engage with their peers and the content through group projects, breakout room meetings, class discussions, and small group assignments.
