Stop the Bleed is a lifesaving skill needed by each of our students. We, at Nashville High, want our kids to make a difference as they grow into adulthood. Our seniors at NHS have been certified in Stop the Bleed the last two years. We share training supplies with all the schools in our area and have to check them out through the co-op on a first come, first serve bases. We would love to have our own supplies to teach students on their schedule. Stop the Bleed training saves lives and affects everyone. Students that are trained and prepared, are more likely to stop and assist with an emergent need. I am comforted by the fact that these students will be able to help our love ones during a blood loss crisis. This crisis can be at school, on the roadside, at home, or at work. Injuries do not discriminate. Death can occur in as little as five minutes from an active bleed. These students will be prepared to stop this bleeding long before the ambulances and medical teams have arrived. Stop the Bleed saves lives.
