The purpose of the Eagle Robotics project is to provide students with a robotics team at EJCHS. This program is open to all students in 8th-12th grade within our building. Our goal is to establish our team, design and build our robot, and program the robot to compete in the First Tech Challenge (FTC) robotics competition. By joining this program, the students have the opportunity to learn computer programming languages, be exposed to engineering careers, and have scholarship opportunities through the First program. Additionally, students will learn teamwork and team-building skills that are essential soft skills in any employment setting. The overall goal of this program is to get students interested in engineering and science by broadening their horizons. The computer will allow us to build and design our First Tech Challenge robot using CAD software and allow us to download java programming software needed to program the robot.
