This document camera will make learning accessible for both in-person learners and distant learners. I can quickly scan documents to post online for my distant learners to interact with. Furthermore, I can use this camera to project learning content directly into my video call, while students in person will see the content displayed on our Smartboard. This is extremely beneficial for visual learners because it allows me to model each task for them, so that they can be successful during independent learning. It is also beneficial for collaboration, because students can use the document camera to show their thinking to other classmates. Additionally, our class loves to read stories, but distant learners do not get to see the vivid illustrations that each wonderful book brings through a regular webcam. This camera will allow me to display the story directly into the video call, so that the students are engaging in the story and growing their love for reading.
