Students from my classes will voluntarily participate to read this on their own and come together (distantly!) to discuss the themes of the book. It will combine many skills we promote in school - reading, discussing, and applying what we've learned to our own lives. Since the this book is rooted in social justice (and written by Trevor Noah), I believe that students will be engaged in the book and the discussions. My hope is that they will enjoy reading on their own and find ways to connect with his experiences and that this will help them transform their own lives and communities.

About my class
