Participating and focusing in large group activities can be especially challenging for my students and even more challenging for my students while learning remotely. Sensory tools are critical for my students to have at home in order to participate successfully. Wobble seats and stretch bands for chairs will allow students to move their body during group instruction and while working independently. Hand fidgets will be helpful to redirect focus during live instruction. Sensory timers can help students take a brain break and give themselves a minute to refocus during this difficult and confusing time.
