Once schools switched to remote learning in March, our school quickly scrambled to get devices to students ASAP. This meant handing out every piece of technology our school had, leaving us with no classroom technology for the upcoming school year and no back-up devices for students to use if their device malfunctions. Having these additional Chromebooks will allow us to quickly get technology to students if their previous device is no longer working and also allows students to have access to technology in the classroom. For students to get the most out of blended learning, continuity is key. Students will be using many different applications such as Google Classroom, iReady, and myOn while learning remotely to receive assignments and feedback, and it is so important that they are able to continue their hard work on those assignments while in the classroom. Currently, our classroom has no technological devices. Blended learning will work best if it is cohesive, and we need classroom Chromebooks to ensure that. With access to reliable devices both in school and at home I am confident my students will show amazing growth in all content areas.
