I have 20 3-5 year olds who love to sing, write, recite nursery rhymes, role play stories and events of their lives in our dramatic play area, dance, build in the block area, paint, and read, just to name a few. Our pre-kindergarten program is located in an urban public school setting in Illinois, serving our neighborhood housing project. Despite the lack of resources available to the families we serve, our students work hard academically. Most can recall events from stories, make inferences and predictions about stories, and in some cases, recognize high frequency words.

About my class
