I am asking for help to get two items, the first being a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card. The TPT gift card would be extremely beneficial for my students during their rigorous math activities. The use of the resources found on TPT will help with practicing math during this huge transitional shift of remote learning. Also, this will help my underprivileged scholars who do not have internet access to receive worksheet packets to continue their learning path. My scholars are very goal oriented at a young age, and I refuse to allow this pandemic to discourage them. It is important that students are still able to receive the proper resources and education so that they can still grow academically. As a teacher, it is my responsibility to advocate for every student, and I spend massive amounts of hours making sure I ensure success for each individual student. Side note, our district does not provide touch screen computers. This makes it difficult to provide my students with strategic and well informed notes. Each student obtains information differently. I have a diverse group of learners. My students need to retain the information that I am providing them with every day, and the disadvantages are frustrating them. It breaks my heart to see my students that I look at as my own suffer under these conditions. The second item I am asking for is an iPad. The iPad will help me have a touch screen to provide notes and examples to my students during lectures. As a math teacher, my students need to be able to take notes and see it explained and visually see the problems worked out. Many students need to see problems worked out to help facilitate learning, and without a touch screen, it is difficult to provide them good clear notes.
