The students in my class come from lower-economic households where basic supplies are missing and where students feel stuck in their situations. I want to provide my students the opportunity to see the world beyond their community; to strive to grow and learn through math. These calculators will inspire my students to gain a better understanding of mathematical concepts. My students want to relate math to real-world scenarios; I try to accomplish this through the use of real-world problems such as calculating interest, commission, depreciation values, etc. Please help me create opportunities for my students to dream big and to learn that math is in everything they do.

About my class
