These bilingual French and Spanish materials will support my students by giving them and their parents the opportunity to learn and practice classroom concepts together in their first language. My students will be able to see the value of communicating in their parent's language about what they do each day. Their parents will be able to explain and give authentic examples in relation to what they learn. My students will be able to make connections in their first language as well as in English. Most importantly, the bilingual curriculum will be reciprocal between children and parents. Both parties can teach each other and both parties will learn from each other.
