My future Grayhounds are students who represent the span of elementary grade levels (PK-5). They come from two of our five elementary buildings, both with a high percentage of students who receive free or reduced lunch. While all need Talented and Gifted (TAG) services, they come from diverse backgrounds and bring a variety of learning styles to the table. They are a myriad of personalities, all of which are beautiful in their own right. Some come hungry for knowledge each and every day. Others are less-eager to embrace themselves and the challenges we tackle in my classroom. Many breathe a sigh of relief as they enter into a room with peers of a similar academic ability. Some are natural collaborators, while others are taking small steps on the path of learning to work with others. We are always striving to develop our growth mindset. We lift each other up and we persevere.

About my class
