Often, my students learning virtually will mute their iPad so their classmates can not hear the background noise from their homes. Unfortunately, that background noise is also the reason students are unable to hear the class discussions taking place online. With the use of Bluetooth headphones/mics, my students will be able to tune out the ambient noise in their home learning environment so they can absorb, process and respond to what their classmates share. The use of earbuds will encourage and facilitate their ability to effectively communicate and engage as active listeners.
