Senses are a large part of an autistic student's environment. I am requesting hammock seats, therapy swing, peanut ball variety pack and liquid motion bubbler. The traditional seating in the classroom does not always meet their needs when they are overly stimulated by their surroundings. Allowing the students a place to retreat within the safety of the classroom is a safe way to aid students in resetting their emotions. Once the reset has taken place, they are then able to rejoin their classmates and take part in the classroom setting again. The swing allows for the rocking motion that is comforting to many autistic students.
