The students we work with already have various obstacles that they fight to overcome on a daily basis, from having specialized learning plans through special education, to living in a low socioeconomic status, and being Emergent Bilinguals (English Language Learners), just to name a few. These are beautiful, amazing kids who are worthy of equitable opportunities, and who shouldn't have to worry about how they will gain access to materials that will make their virtual learning experience possible. COVID-19 has added yet another obstacle and barrier, and these students are in need of the materials required to make learning from home not only possible, but successful. None of us has asked for this unfortunate situation, but we can all work together to make sure we are making the best of it. Please help us to ensure that these students have an equitable learning experience as we persevere through these difficult times!
