One of the foundations in our classroom is reading. Reading gives my students the opportunity to experience connections with the characters and settings in our stories. Whether the story is portrayed in the form of a read-aloud or during independent reading time, it is very important that the students can see themselves in the text. This gives them the chance to genuinely enjoy reading. This leads to more comprehension because the children are gaining self-connections with the story. These connections will contribute to their understanding of the world as well. As a part of empowering and uplifting my students this year, I want to ensure that they have access to a classroom library that is inspiring and culturally reflective of them! Thank you so much for considering helping in achieving this! I am so excited to have these impactful books in our classroom library soon!
