My project asks for air purifiers for both the isolation room and well clinic. The students will be back to school soon and I want to ensure their health. On a regular day, I see anywhere from 50-75 children and sometimes staff. The clinic is a high-traffic area, and it is important that I be able to provide an extra layer of protection for my students, especially those that are there for routine care (i.e., asthmatics). My students all deserve to have clean and healthy air, and should not be afraid to come see the nurse because they fear getting sick or becoming exposed. By having the air purifiers, my students can feel confident about coming into see me. The purifier will both purify and sanitize the air in the well clinic and especially the isolation room that will be used to hold our students or staff who are experiencing COVID-like symptoms. These air purifiers will give me the confidence that the air is safe in both areas because at any given times I may have multiple students, staff or even parents in my clinic. I believe that healthy students learn better, and if I can provide clean, healthy air for them I am also able to ensure fulfillment of a basic need. Please help me provide my students with the fresh, clean, healthy air that they deserve. Thank you!
