We just recently revamped the life skills special education program at our school! Students in this program are being provided learning experiences like never before! Our life skills program will use this laminator in many exciting ways. For students, an important skill we work on is preparation for the work force/obtainable jobs. One job students in our life skills program maintain is supporting teachers, staff, and students in the building with office-style jobs. Access to a laminator for our program will make it easier for students to help teachers meet their lamination needs and students complete their job roles more efficiently (and safely!) COVID-19 took us out of the classroom for a long time- making it important now more than ever to provide authentic learning opportunities! The ability to help teachers in the building laminate their materials will help us stay in-person during the pandemic. Laminating resources will allow them to be more easily cleaned/sanitized. Additionally, many of the learning resources we use within our very own program are hands on. The ability to laminate these learning resources will help us to safely sanitize and reuse daily for enhanced learning and growth! We would greatly appreciate your support in helping us continue to grow our new and innovative life skills program. Your support will help students reach exciting goals, obtain real life work experience, and increase their overall learning experience!
