As the GSA (gender & sexuality alliance) advisor at my school, I want to make queer and trans own-voice stories widely available for students to read and enjoy. GSA members, as well as the entire student body and teaching staff, will have access to these books. LGBTQIA+ students deserve to see themselves in the stories they read, and all students and staff benefit from learning about different lived experiences. My dream is to dedicate an entire bookcase to LGBTQIA+ literature for all to enjoy, expand the reach of our GSA, and make queer and trans stories widely available in our school.
