This project will include really increasing my student's time outside, and hopefully increasing their engagement in the world around them. We will use the yoga mats to learn mindfulness, gain appreciation for physical activity, and hopefully give them a skill they can utilize for years to come. The gardening kit will help us really apply some of our science lessons, while teaching a new, useful skill that will benefit them in the long run. Overall, this year we will have fewer if any community based instructional trips. I am hoping to provide more activities for us to do and learn about while not leaving the school.
