Special Needs Sensory Support My precious students have learned to use sensory toys and materials to self-regulate their sensory needs so they can calm themselves and refocus on their learning. Within the virtual learning environment where my students with special needs are learning from their homes, they no longer have access to the sensory supports of their physical classrooms. These sensory material will help my students to self-regulate their sensory needs at home, especially during virtual instructional breaks, so they be better able to focus, attend to, and engage with their learning.
