Our school does not have a laminator. We are currently in session and attempting to operate in a sterile as possible environment, to remain healthy and COVID free! Daily, teachers and students are getting creative in how they create assignments and decorate their classrooms due to the new strict cleaning procedure. Classrooms are sprayed numerous times throughout each day to create a germ-free atmosphere. This new protocol is causing some resources to get soiled, making them no longer useful. Teachers are also cutting down on the use of paper, using white boards and technology, when available. However, if laminating were possible, papers and resources could be reused after they are wiped clean, thus making a safer place for students and teacher. Some teachers are going elsewhere, like office supply stores, to laminate resources and paying out of their own pocket. This is not a cheap process. Having a laminator would help provide additional resources for our teachers and most importantly, for our students!
