As a teacher, I strongly feel that if you are able-bodied you need to be up and moving. Remote teaching has us all parked in chairs to be seen by computer cams. Although I cannot walk around my room and physically look over my student's shoulders a quality webcam will allow me to take a step back and move around my room I can prepare notes and charts. Visuals will help make my lessons more engaging. Teenagers need to read more! Reading is a skill that needs to be practiced. Too many students become good at faking it. If we can model and teach a love of reading by providing choice we can challenge them to increase their skills.
