I've very quickly noticed a need for headphones in my classroom. Since we are required to incorporate blended learning this year, many times videos will be used during instruction at an individual's own pace. Can you imagine a whole classroom watching videos all at different times/volumes? Not much learning going on! When required videos occur in a lesson, students can use their headphones to listen to the video. Another great use would be for students who require text-to-speech technology. They can listen to an entire text without disturbing anyone. When choosing headphones, I chose from one location. I would have liked to have bought uniform headphones, but most of them were limited to 5 or 25 per selection. That is why you will see a variety of headphones selected. Receiving these headphones would benefit our classroom greatly. It will create a better learning environment and align with the COVID protocol in that they will not be sharing headphones. I know they will also be beneficial at home as they work on lessons---they will increase focus and allow siblings to work simultaneously in the same room without disturbing each other.
