These books will provide students with multiple opportunities to grow as readers, connect through discussions and shared readings, and get lost in quality stories. I will be using several of these texts as read-alouds for my own class and other classes at my school. If students are interested in stories and would like to spend more time with the text, I would like to share physical copies (library style) if possible. I have chosen high-quality texts, with many award-winners and diverse authors, so that students' social, emotional, and academic needs will be met.
