This school year has been unlike any other for schools all over the world. We know it is important to keep students in school as long as we can do so safely, so we have put in place all kinds of precautions to make school a safe place to be. We are really in need of some additional resources for our health office that can help us keep students safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are currently running low on masks to provide to students who may have forgotten their mask at home, so I am requesting 20 boxes of masks for us to have on hand for these kiddos. I would also like to get an iPad that I could use to help contact trace if/when we have additional cases of students that have been on campus and then tested positive for COVID-19. iPads are portable and capable of handling all of the windows and applications I need when accessing seating charts, contact info for parents, calendars, guidelines, and other information I need. It is important for me to move as quickly as possible when we receive word that a child has tested positive, and the iPad would help me move quickly for student safety. I’m also requesting a digital non-contact forehead thermometer that we can use in addition to the one we already have. It would be useful for me and our secretary to have a thermometer for moments when our office is full. Finally, we are in need of some other basic essentials for our health office, that are more important now than ever before during the pandemic. I’m requesting bandages, feminine pads, reusable ice packs, water bottles, a travel first aid kit, and stress balls. Thanks in advance for any help you can give!
