During this time of virtual learning, social interaction is key. The use of these tubs will give me the opportunity to use real-life objects to help them learn foundational reading skills as well as the necessary vocabulary to help my students develop their academic and social skills. The alphabet tubs allow for a variety of activities: we can play games, sort them, and create stories about them, all while EL students demonstrate understanding of the sounds and vocabulary. Through these fun, interactive activities, my students will be given the opportunity to read, write, listen, and speak...but most of all build confidence in their English abilities!
