During our school's first experience with distance learning due to the COVID-19 crisis (March - June 2020) I struggled to offer my students personalized feedback on their electronically submitted math work. I am used to freely illustrating (with words and mathematics) on the student's paper to both praise and gently critique their submissions. The requested Wacom drawing tablet will allow me to better continue to deliver this critical feedback to my students while they are in a remote learning environment. When working with my students in person (our school is adopting a hybrid approach for this school year - 2 days in person and 2 days remote) the OKIOCAM document camera will allow me to examine student work from a safe 6-foot distance to ensure the safety of both them and myself. Both of these requested items will allow me to better meet my students needs during these challenges to teaching as a result of the COVID-19 crisis.
