A lot of school is on paper or computers these days. Kids are loosing the chance to use their hands to create and be kids. The stem toys in this project will give my students the chance to create and build what is in their minds. They will be able to build whatever they want with no right or wrong answer or way to do it. This project includes a variety of different stem toys that students can use at different times to stretch their minds in creating different ideas. Students using the stem toys in this project, will fill vital learning opportunities that kids need in early childhood that come through play. Through play kids learn sharing, teamwork, communication skills, different motor skills and much more. I want my students to not only learn the core curriculum that I will be teaching but how to be able to create and be a kid. These items will be used as students are arriving to school, during indoor recess, to build a classroom community, stem projects, and many more times throughout their first grade experience.
