The Scholastic Upfront magazine will provide current events materials that are accessible for learners with varying reading abilities and also practice in many Common Core skills. The novel materials we are hoping to get from Teachers Pay Teachers will help develop a more robust literature curriculum for our Historical Fiction course. We have been involved in a county-wide literacy initiative and these course materials will allow for our classroom libraries to meet the standards for diversity of materials and accessibility for readers of different skill levels. These supplemental materials will help development our social studies and literature curricula, allowing for enhanced delivery of instruction and better student achievement.
