Many of the students in my classroom come from stressful households that don't give students the opportunity or resources to let their creativity show. Kids should have the chance to create visual representations of their learning and showcase their creative ideas in a safe environment. Creating craft projects and visual representations lets students present their knowledge in a fun way! The actual creation of these projects is also very calming for students. I have observed that student behavior and quality of their work improves immensely when they get to show off their work in a colorful and creative way. Creating is just something they really enjoy. The end product always gives students a sense of pride and ownership. The color printer and ink will help me to print visual aids and fun projects for the students to complete and display. The dry erase pockets and laminating pouches will help me display their work and keep it intact. The construction paper and the scissors will be used to create work that shows off their creative abilities. The materials that I am requesting will help my students to create visual projects that showcase their knowledge and creative abilities. I am hoping to create an environment that supports learning through meaningful, creative activities and projects. Please help me show my kids that there is a rainbow of possibilities when it comes to learning!
