Our classroom is mixed with students from the 5th grade through 8th grade, so having an area for students to have a reading break while others are working would be perfect for our room. E.D. students are often misunderstood or mistaken for just kids with behavioral issues or kids that can not learn. That is so far from the truth, my students will be the change this year. Having a place to go to calm themself when need and to get lost in a book where the world can be whatever you want it to be. Having a safe place in the classroom that doubles as a reading oasis will make a huge difference in the lives of these students.

About my class
