With your help I hope to create a sensory learning environment for my students. With the sensory items my students will learn in ways that work for them. They will learn how to play. Through play they will learn how to share, take turns, and communicate. All behavior is a form of communication. Many of my students have communication difficulties, and behaviors. Sensory tools like a weighted wrap or tactile pillows can help students calm down when they are feeling overwhelmed, or angry. My students are still learning how to cope with big emotions. These sensory tools will help them do just that.
