Nearpod is an online platform that allows students to engage with each other in a digital forum that is very similar to my regular classroom. Students will be able to "like" each other's responses, respond to posed questions, and ask questions when they don't understand. My students need an interactive medium that allows them to be students - it will make my classroom a lively place in spite of the struggling reality they are currently in. When I tried out Nearpod in the past, student engagement went up, enthusiasm when up, and most importantly, excitement for learning when up!
