Last spring when I started distance learning, I experienced firsthand some of the challenges of teaching via technology! While it can be challenging at times for 5-year-olds to attend in the classroom, it's even more challenging for them to sustain their interest online! I have been researching ways to provide better instruction to my students and have found that by using an additional computer it will help solve some of the challenges of lag time, not seeing the students while presenting, and ease of moving between screens. In researching the best ways to provide seamless instruction a second device is the answer. This is why I am requesting a MacBook Air Laptop and adjustable stand that will allow me to demonstrate while using my computer to monitoring the children. I will use my current laptop along with the MacBook Air laptop to film, record, and share lessons. The MacBook will enable the lessons to flow smoothly, and allow me to see the children while presenting with the other one. I will use one laptop for the meeting, and the second one to show/share the lessons. As I am teaching, just like my students, I also need to MOVE around. I will use the adjustable laptop stand to move my MacBook Air laptop up and down, left and right, along with me as I move through my lessons.
