Our school has an award winning digital arts program. Graduates have gone on to such schools as Parson School of Art and Design, Monserrat, Chicago Art Institute, Kansas City Art Institute. They work as professional illustrators working in the gaming industry, as marketing and advertising executives, and entrepreneurs. This is achieved by showing off shortcuts to artistic and creative success and through heavy enrichment with cutting edge professional grade technology when available. The entire program is designed as a college and career ready pathway through CTE. Students who complete our program turn in an AP 2D Art porftolio. Our students score an average of 4.2 out of 5 on their test, which is .7 higher than the global average! Not too shabby! So what is the big deal then? Well, Covid 19 happened! Now many of my 280 yearly students are learning from home instead of in our state of the art studio. These students have graciously been afforded access to laptop computers and the necessary software to continue learning. For that we are grateful! Now we need to provide students with digital drawing devices that they can use from home to stay competitive and continue our tradition of excellence!
