My Students Our class is made up of 20 students from all around the world. We are entering a time where distance learning is a new challenge. Last spring we did not do live teaching in kindergarten, and many families shared their disappointment about this. This year is going to be different! I am excited to provide live virtual learning opportunities for my students this year. My students are 4 or 5 years old starting this fall. This is a fun time in their lives, and I am sorry that we cannot be together physically. I want to create a live learning experience that will still give them the love of learning! My Project When we began to try distanced learning last spring, we did not provide live learning experiences. Our students did not have school provided devices at that time. This fall, all students will have district provided device! Yay! However, we also learned from our experiences that we have to provide seamless instruction for young children, or we lose their interest, and ability to focus. When using one laptop to film, record and share lessons, there were significant lags, problems, and frustration. I have been researching the best ways to provide seamless instruction to my students, and it seems like a second device, an iPad is the answer. My laptop will be the place for meeting, and the iPad will be the device to show/share the lessons.
